Olivia Chang
Founder, Program Director, and Teacher

Olivia Chang received her bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of California at Berkeley. She was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and a strategic consultant before she decided to become an educator. She received her Master’s in Education from the University of Oxford, specializing in literacy and bilingualism. She was awarded Distinction on her master’s thesis which was titled, ‘Recent Developments in Early Childhood Education in Shanghai.’ Her PhD. thesis was on “What skills do high-skilled, high technology workers in Shanghai need?”
She has been conducting educational research in England, France, China and the United States since 2001 in order to develop her own unique teaching method and curriculum. She has taught over 4500 students from preschool to community college level, trained over 45 teachers, and created her own special literacy and science curriculum. She is trained in the Wired for Reading Program and has recently finished the Advanced Wired For Reading Course. The Wired for Reading Program is a literacy program designed for Dyslexic and ELL students.

Olivia has two boys of her own who keep her very busy. She is heavily involved in her boys’ education and schools. She was awarded a Golden Acorn Award by the WPTA for her volunteer work as a room parent, PTA STEM Chairperson, and Destination Imagination Coach.
